Hey I am looking for a great muffler for my 2009 4.3L vortec v6 and I cannot find any sound tests are anything for the new models of chevy trucks at all so I have no idea what to get. At the moment I have a single thrush muffler dumped right before my rear axle and it is pretty good sounding when I hit the gas but it`s got that bubble bee sound to it I do not like at all. So I am looking for a better one that has a deeper throaty sound to it idling and going. I can`t put headers are do anything with a cats are my warranty is voided and all that **** so I`m just going with a muffler. People have told me to get a 40 series flow, a super 44 flow, Magnaflow, and Dynomax but I have no idea which one sounds better are if there is a better sounding one I have not heard about. So please you guys with newer trucks like me tell me what muffler would sound best with my 4.3l v6 in my 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500. And also I couldn`t tell if I needed to post this in the exhaust topic are the 2007-present topic
Thanks for the help guys,
Colton

Welcome to the site and congrats on the truck. I had good luck with 50-series Flowmaster on my S10 4.3. I was very happy with the sound.
