A few days ago my truck was sitting idleing while I was loading some stuff in the bed. Out of the blue it started running rough and sputtering like it was running out of fuel and after a minute it died completely. I went to restart it and it wouldnt crank, the starter didnt engage at all. Ive pulled all the hot and ground cables I can find thinkig its an electrical short, I also load tested the battery. The key turns on just fine and all the usuall lights and electrical things operate as they should but when you turn the key to the crank position the headlights go out and nothing happens. As soon as you let the key back to the key on position all the lights come back on and the guages momentarily zero.
What do I need to start looking at?

I`ve had batteries load test fine and turn out to be the problem. I`d start there.

Also maybe take a look at the starter make sure you don`t have intense corrosion on it and that everything is still connected and it connects with the flywheel.
