ok im going kind of out side of the box for this one. i just got a pair of discontinues jbl speakers (they are the 6/8`s that will fit i place of some 5/7`s) i have an 03 silverado reg cab with jbl 4/6 plates in the b pillars. im planning to cut out a little bit of metal so i can fit the 5/7`s in where the 4/6`s used to be. my only problem is that small 4/6 grill that coveres the current speakers. is there any way, using cloth or something, that i can cut out some of the plastic panel and make the grill large enough for the 5/7. i still want to 5/7`s to be behind the plastic panel, i just want it to be easy for the sound to get out. any ideas?
one more question, is it hard to remove the ead liner out of my year truck? is it glued anywhere?... can you guys tell im only 18 and may be overdoing it? haha sorry speakers are kinda my outlet, its an expensive outlet to have... i dont reccomend it
