03 silverado regular cab. i almost got in an accident today cuz some *** hole in a hyundai thought they could cut me off, i guess no one can see me. anyways back to my problem, i pushed the brake pedal all the way to the floor but noting. i then started to slowly slow down but almost re-ended this little kid. i know ive already asked this question in so many words, but is there anything i can do to tighten up the brakes?
i know its a truck but my dad has an 08 silverado reg cab ls and i can get his truck to stop on a dime if i wanted to.
i bled the brakes and re-fulled the reservoir and its still the same.
please help me fix my brakes.
thanks

If you have good pads, check for fluid leaks and a faulty master cylinder.

If your not getting a barke light idiot light you dont have a leak.
What color was your brake fluid when your bleed it?
It should have been the same color as new brake fluid. If not, keep bleeding until you get new fluid. Your cluid could have air/moisture in it, neither are good.

Sounds like you need to keep bleading them. The fluid coming out needs to be clear like the fluid you put in. It does take some time. Start on the rear right then rear left then front right and then front left. You can actually buy a brake bleeder tool that keeps the system pressurized so you don`t need two people and it speeds up the process a bit. I think it`s like 60 bucks.

Dont forget you need a TACH 2 or similar scanner to toggle the ABS to get the air, fluid out of it.
