I have been trying to fins a set of flow numbers for the LQ4 heads so I can plug it into my desktop dyno program. Does anyone have the numbers or have a link where I can get it at. I found the L92 numbers in a Car Craft article which it stated were similar to the LQ4. They actually said they performed almost the same on their dyno engine. Once I get these flow numbers in I will have a LQ4 engine in the desktop dyno to begin putting in cam spec to look for the best torque curve.

The lq4/9 heads dont flow near what the 92`s do. they flow like 350+ out the box.
I got lots of info on that, let me look for it

Vortec, you are on the wrong website when it comes to performance. I know a few that have just a massive amount of info when it comes to anything LS. Dont think the mods would like posting links though

Thanks for those flow numbers I plugged them into my program. Just going to the Comp Cam XR259HR 54-408-11 (800-5800RPM) that with just a set of large tube headers with cats and mufflers (not open exhaust) will get 410 HP and 410 lbs/ft torque out of the LQ4. Putting larger valves in it and the flat top pistons like the LQ9 should get me over the 450HP/450lbs/ft mark. That paired up with the 4.56 gears I am going to switch over to from the 4.10 should get me some nice pulling power or red light rice intimidating power.

Yup, 100 hp out of a cam tune and heads is fairly easy. Depending on the cam, you can get even more. You can get 100 extra out of a 5.3 with a good exhaust, tune and cam. Ls engines respond very well to mods.
