Hey Gang, well i am off to maybe getting another truck. I know last week is the chevy 3+3 crew cab haha. But i found a few 03-06 Dmax trucks. I test drove an 04 2500 HD crew cab 6 foot bed. Truck ran great, i had never driven a D max and i was very impressed with the power she had. Is there anything i have to watch out for on the dmax trucks? What kind of mileage do you get out of them in stock form? Also it wasn`t black, which is a problem, haha. The kicker is.... i have to sell something... the 98 or the 82... am just plain stuck.

They atually want a good bit for the Dmax, to the tune of 26.996. Which is way way way too much for an 04. I also made a point that there is an 07 for 28,000 with the same exact miles. They didnt like that and i had them in a corner. But we will see what happenes, i got to go out and test drive the 3500 crew cab long bed. As for the truck to get rid of, still not sure. THe 82 is set up to plow now, finally and the 98 just sits there....

the duramax is a awesome truck really the only thing you really have to watch is if you ever decide to do power adders to the truck with a allison a/t they will only hold 100hp over stock then they start slipping . . the LLY has had some injector issues but not every one has one or two injectors start dumping way to much fuel . . .over all there awesome diesels . . you could get a built trans and EFI live tune and have a 50 hp econemy tune the flip a switch and run mid 12s depending on who does the custom tune the bully dog triple dog is another awesome programer for them . . stock fuel millage my buddy gets about 23 / 24 miles to the gallon you add a programer and youll get better millage!

Haha mid 12`s. I would be the fastest landscaper around! If i do a tune, it would be a bully dog or something of that nature. Is the fuel Mileage around town or on highway?

Every Diesel I`ve driven lately, I`ve not seen mileage over 15 on the highway. I don`t know how you guys are getting more mileage

A buddy of mine had an 07 dmax with over 600hp and was getting almost 27 mpg. thats crazy. from what i hear the dmax`s get pretty good gas mileage.
