you can get the shift kit from oregon performance along with the servos. You might as well get them installed at the same time and along with your tranny fluid to save a few bucks.
as far as mpg you won`t see a diff, but the shifts are gonna be fun.

Yeah I might as well get everything from oregon performance and get it all installed at the same time. How much should I expect for a shift kit and servo install roughly? I heard that some parts of the transgo shift kit can`t be installed if the tranny is in the truck, is that true or doesn`t it make much difference?
What should I expect from doing all this? Just a lot quicker shifts I imagine?
For the fluid, I`ll probably go with royal purple but should I try to get a flush done with a machine or just when they drop the pan? Think I should get a new filter as well since I`ll be right there?

The labor shouldn`t be any more than 100 bucks for both, If I`m not mistaken you have to drop the tranny to do the shift kit, the servo can be done with the tranny on its just a tight fit.
Def firmer and quicker shifts, if they are too firm you can have your tuner adjust the line pressure to back down the firmness. I had this done when I had my servos put in, the 1-2 shift at WOT was awesome but at just quarter gas it was pretty rough.
If you have more than 50,000 just do a pan drop and filter change. I have heard too many stories of ppl having their tranny flushed with more than 50k miles and then having the tranny fail a few hundred miles later. I only had one flush done at 35,000 and the rest have been pan drops and its still running strong.

Oh man if you need to drop the tranny i`d think that would be kind of an expensive install. Not sure how much work is required but I just always thought it was a lot. Do you know how much fluid you need for the pan drop? Just do it once or like 3 times to get all new fluid in there?
