Has anyone had problems with the audio system? My truck when the warning chimes goes off like the turn signal, seat belt reminder,& keys in the ignition sometimes will make a thunder storm *or* a video game noise thru the audio system.Sounds like a war game. It has done it about 5 time & the first time it only had about 200 miles on it. Took it to the dealership & they said it was my radio. They ordered another one for it. I have called my salesman once when it was doing it & let him hear it & this last time I got pissed & called OnStar to see if they could tell me. Nothing, so I called the service department & let the service advisor hear it so he told me to bring it so we set up a time. Going maybe thursday *or* saturday to have it replaced & see if this fixes the problem. If anyone is experisening this problem let me know. Blake

Well I had my radio replaced on 6/18/2009. I have not had any problems yet but it seems that all the warning chimes are much louder now. I called my brother to ask him if his turn signal was that loud on his 2009 1500 Z71 Crew & he said yes. My radio oh man it rocks now. I barely have to turn it up & it about blows you out of your seat. So maybe this has fixed the problem. I noticed with the old radio when that crazy noise went off that all my setting would be set back to the half way mark. I guess I must of got a bad radio to start with. I told my service advisor we will see if this fixes the problem. I sure hope so.

I don''t know if the new style are the same, but on the 03-07 classic models, with the radio turned off (key on) you could hold the preset 6 button on the radio and it would change your chime volume. You might give it a try and see if it helps.

Replacing the radio did not fix the problem. I am starting to get aggrevated with my truck. I am at the point where I going to tell them to buy it back. The noise started back on September 17 & waited to do it again on October 25. Each time that it has done it it`s been at the gas station. I have also had to have the fuel pressure sensor replaced & the MAP sensor. It had to be towed in. I have less then 4000 miles on the truck. What should I do? It has to be making the sound before I can take it in so they can figure it out. Everytime it does it is when the dealership is closed or I am working. I am having bad feelings about Chevy. I am at the point that I want to go buy something else.

Most likely it`s something stupid.. Hang in there and give the dealership a chance to figure it out. Is the dealership trying? Don`t blame the entire line for one stupid issue, I know if it was me, I`d be pissed too. But its one small issue for the entire truck. Ask the dealership what you can do to help trouble shoot the issue since it seems to only do it outside of dealership hours.
If not, then try another dealership.
Good luck...

The dealership is working with me about this issue but I am tired of driving nearly 40 miles one way for nothing. The service department manager told me that as long as we got it documented that it will be covered. I dont keep a truck long enough for the warranty to run out.I dont drive that much. I like my truck but these little problems annoy me. They build these trucks in Mexico to cut labor cost & no telling where the parts are being made but they sure keep raising the price on these trucks. It burns me up. These cost cuts are just going to cost them more in the long run cause of warranty repairs. They need to open the factory`s back up in America & maybe they will be built right. All I can say is they better figure it out pretty quick or else I am calling GM.

I have never had that problem with my 2009. It goes off for like 3 seconds and doesn`t do it again till I turn off my truck and turn it back on and start driving again.
